What does a healthy juice look like?

Junior M created their own juices today, using oranges, apples, grapefruit and raspberries that they had brought from home. With some added water, milk or ice they designed, produced and evaluated(this step must include a taste test!) each one of their juices. Which combinations of fruits do you think may have been the most successful and why?

  1. Hi Junior M. Sounds like you are having a great time with your inquiry unit this term. I like the sound of the smoothies that you made yesterday and some of the recipes you made at home and brought in for each other to taste. I think that the best smoothie would have been orange and raspberry together with ice because I love raspberries and I think the oranges could add some sweetness to the possibly sour raspberries. We are looking forward to trying some more combination of juices and smoothies at home. The best thing I think about this topic is that you are all trying things you might have never tried before or thought you didn't like and sometimes you might be surprised with what you discover!! I'm looking forward to finding out about more of what you are doing and hopefully getting some great healthy recipes and ideas from all of you for us to try at home too. Keep enjoying and tasting everything.

  11. Here's a really quick recipe for a strawberry and banana smoothie.

Blend a punnet of strawberries with one banana, a tablespoon of honey, 1/4 cup of yogurt and a glass of icy-cold milk.

    Drink and enjoy.
